Founded in 2014, we are a family business based in Wansford, producing kiln dried logs with free local delivery. Set in farmland in rural Cambridgeshire, we overlook not only beautiful rolling fields but also a working airstrip. We are a small but mighty team!
In addition to Barn Logs we also own Willow Tree Services which has served the local area since 2003 with professional tree care. We are a team of trusted tree surgeons and climbers that are able to take care of any size job, from large commercial contracts to small domestic hedge trimming. We pride ourselves in being able to look after our customers no matter how big or small, making sure that we offer a good value, friendly service for everyone.
Powered by two biomass boilers using only the waste wood from our tree surgery business, our kilns give us the ability to produce quality kiln dried hardwood logs all year round whist still maintaining our aim of keeping our carbon footprint to an absolute minimum. We are BSL authorised and only source trees for our logs from FSC certified forests that have been legally felled and sustainably managed. Working with nature everyday means we understand the importance of sustainability and therefore always work hard to ensure we make as low an impact on the environment as possible. We are committed to keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible across both of our businesses.
For several years we have strived to produce better and better quality logs each year and we are now proud to say that our kiln dried logs are the driest and best burning logs we have ever produced. With an average moisture content of less than 20%, our kiln dried logs burn very hot and very clean, producing little to no smoke and yielding a high heat output.
